The Start – Matthew Percy Memorial Throphy Race for Formula Blue November 2014
Harry King takes the Cadet Honda class championship, without having to race at this final round.
Junior Blue was a different story with Luke Lattimer leading by the slender of margin of 2 points from Thomas Massarella. In the end it was Jake Calvert who won the day but Lattimer and Massarella shared the points with 7 points each. This gave Latimer the Championship by the earlier mentioned 2 points from Massarella. Taylor Waldron finished 2nd on the day and came 3rd overall.
Both the leading contestants in the Formula Blue class came to the last round having used up their drop options. A DNF would therefore be catastrophic ! In the end Martin Wheeler had a faultless day and took the class title. Chris Derrick could only could only manage equal 4th on the day, but it was sufficient to hold on to 2nd spot in the overall from Kevin Ford in 3rd. Derrick did, however take the Master section from Kevin Ford. Ford, in turn, claimed the Veteran group from Ron shone. It was Shone, however, who retained the Top Weight title. His nearest challenger was Robin Stoddard Stones. With the 2 Counties club Championship over for another year, the competitors now cast off their race suits in favour of dinner jackets and bow ties for the Presentation Evening Ball, on 22nd November.
